Baltic Birch

Baltic Birch, also known as ‘Russian Birch’, is multi-ply product, having more plies (or layers) than standard domestic plywood. It is a plywood that is light in color with excellent strength and stability due to a core made out of single piece Birch veneers. The thick face veneer allows a lot of sanding without going through the top veneer. We stock the sheets in 5’x5′, mainly in a B/BB grade. B/BB grade means that the face and back are single piece veneers as well as the inner core. Back veneers allow on average 3-6 small color-matched patches. Some light mineral streaks and tight pin knots may be present.

The 5′ x 5′ sheet uses an interior glue that works well if you are using a laser to cut the material.
