Red Balau

Strength & Durability
Dark Red Balau Decking is naturally durable and contains no harmful chemicals. The strength of Dark Red Balau allows you to span 24″ with 5/4×6 decking and 16″ with the attractive 1×4 pattern. Dark Red Balau is harder and more scratch resistant when compared to similarly priced decking materials and can be installed using similar methods and tools. Unlike other types of hardwood decking, with Dark Red Balau you do not have to pre-drill for every screw. Ring Shank nails are an option as well, though ends should always be predrilled in any wood decking to reduce end splitting.

Suitable Applications
Dark Red Balau is a fine hardwood that is often used for applications such as ship building, door and window frames, millwork, moldings, boxes and crates, outdoor decking and fencing. Its warm, reddish-brown tones blend well with many types of railing systems, or you can choose from Dark Red Balau dimensional lumber to create your own design.

Availability
Dark Red Balau is available in a full range of sizes and profiles. Decking – 1×4, 1×6, 5/4×4 Tongue and Groove Porch Floor – 1×4, 5/4×4 Post and Hand Rail – 4×4, 2×2, 2×4, 2×6 Siding and Ceiling – 1×4, 1×6, 5/4×4, 5/4×6 Trim – Standard and custom profiles available upon request.

Douglas Fir.jpg

Douglas Fir

Commonly, Douglas Fir is a species of softwood, but it is also considered to be one of the widely-used types of lumber, especially in fencing, home construction and decking in the United States. It is also popular due to its perfect proportion of weight and strength. Known for its dimensional strength, it resists natural elements such as strong wind, storms, and earthquakes. It is also known as the toughest Western softwood and is very easy to mold. Overall, this lumber type is the most popular and ideal lumber for residential, commercial and other construction projects.

Western Red Cedar

Clear Vertical Grain (CVG) Western Red Cedar is the highest quality grade available; Sawn vertical grain (edge grain). Western Red Cedar CVG boards are free from growth characteristics that affect appearance or performance and have excellent dimensional stability; hold finishes exceptionally well. Clear Vertical Grain WRC may exhibit a few minor characteristics which don’t take away their high appearance and quality.
